Don Trump Learns to Travel

We all know by now that Publius expects super things from Don Trump. Don is a big time businessman, successful too, a few times actually. So, when Don said, let’s stop Muslims from coming into the U.S., Publius said, “show me the numbers Don.”
To understand exactly how the numbers work, remember only one thing: It’s reciprocal. If we do it to others, they will do it to us.
So, when Don flies to London to see his U.K. properties, for example, he will show the Brits a U.S. passport with his religion clearly marked in it and certified by the State Department as a legit U.S. religion. If he’s certified as Muslim, he’s out. If he’s certified as a member of the Second Existential Church of Trump Towers, he’s in.
Second, to make the new mechanism work, all religions in the U.S. must seek State Department certification so that passport holders can be accurately registered and allowed to enter foreign countries. So long as they are not Muslims, naturally.
Third, all U.S. passport holders must have their religious affiliations affirmed by their religious organizations. This affirmation must be reconfirmed by the State Department every ten years for passport renewal.
Fourth, because there are, at a minimum, a million religions and sub religions in the U.S. and uncountable new ones being created every day, certification will cost religions and the Federal Government serious money. However, many of our religions are so small that they will not be able to afford the cost of certification and will need taxpayer subsidies to pass Don’s muster. Some religions will be forced to consolidate to manage these costs.
Then there are the 74 million Americans who don’t use religion. They will not be able to show what they are, or are not, so they won’t be allowed to travel. If you are not a registered church-goer, forget that Caribbean vacation. Don’t even think about driving to Niagara Falls! Business trip to Hong Kong? Fuggettaboutit!
Because it will take many years to reprocess all 134 million U.S. passports—the State Department today processes about 14 million a year—most Americans will be unable to leave the country for a decade or more. Publius expects that Don will solve this by creating a fast track. Pay, say, $10,000 and go to the head of the line. Some of the really big religions might also find fast tracks to affirmation a useful money-maker. Especially since these revenues will be tax free. They will call Trump "Divine Don."

Don has taken his control of U.S. borders to another level of cost. Yesterday, Le Monde reported, he demanded limited access by the French to the U.S. This means that, because of the Schengen Agreement, the U.S. will be off limits for most of Europe except for the U.K. Equally, almost all of Europe will be off limits to Americans who do not apply for special visas and pass costly and time consuming security clearances. These visas will take weeks, if not months to secure.
Since New York, Don's home town, accounts for a third of all international travel to the U.S., a huge chunk of which is from Europe, and sends staggering numbers of American tourists and business people to Europe every year, the city and airlines will go nuts. Major gateways in Florida and Texas will be clobbered as will Atlanta, Georgia. Indeed, it is hard to imaging which major airports and cities in the country will not be hurt badly.
A Trump presidency means that several of our largest airlines may be forced into Chapter 11 as traffic implodes. New York City hotels will be kicked right in the head and the value of city real estate will go off a cliff. Trump Math is good news for the Trump Organization and the value of its properties and brands!!

Dumb Don loves making Publius look like a genius. Once again, our Hacksident has turned himself into a zero. He has just been forced to disband all his CEO Advisory Councils after more and more CEOs left because of his dumb comments on the Charlottesville VA white supremacist terror attack.
