Peace in Ukraine

Getting peace in Ukraine is simple:  Russia stands by its 1994 Budapest Memorandum commitments and in return gets free trade deals with NAFTA and the EU.

Just 20 words.

The money in Publius’ 20 words is so big that if Putin did not agree—Russia’s GDP per capita today is the tank at 72^nd in the world—his oligarchs would toss him.  As it is, the costs of ongoing war in Ukraine and the endless alienation of so many big markets worldwide are killing Russia’s opportunities.

It gets worse for Russia.  By 2030, every device on the planet, think light bulbs, will be a Nanoscale Data Center (NDC) with an embedded blockchain-fired mini-bank.  All will cross-communicate in an edgeless fog of Cloud servers, buying and selling services and products.  In the process, today’s blockchain-generated Non Fungible Token (NFT) funny money will be replaced by real money Fungible Tokens (FT).  We will have a new fabric of money, the first new fabric since The Bank of England in 1694. 

Every device that the edgeless fog touches will be uberized, unleashing the biggest markets in history.  Imagine uberizing solarized high-rise windows.  The world’s high-rises and super talls, now massive consumers of energy, will be giant energy factories.  Global energy markets will be inverted.  Scaling these markets profitably will be our growth engine.  Russia’s too. 

Especially critical for Russia however, the inverted energy market will make its reliance on fossil fuel sales a disaster.  So, for Russia, scaling the NDC edgeless fog will be live or die.

The key to scaling NDC opportunities profitably will be building, inflating and monetizing Information Surfaces (ISs) designed to harvest the new markets in the edgeless fog of NDCs.  Think of how Apple’s single instance, global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) monetized its entire ecosystem in an end-to-end Information Surface that eliminated a staggering amount of inventories, all cash wait states.  And how much money investors made when Apple did this.  Then think of the complexity of building a monetizable, scalable IS in the edgeless fog.

It’s just the numbers.  These say that in the NDC revolution, Russia must conquer edgeless fog Information Surfaces, not Ukrainian territory.

Putin is fighting the wrong war.  Russia’s oligarchs must correct this or go the way of Sears which also thought that gaining territory—buying Kmart—was the way forward.  As ERP-intense Walmart showed, it wasn’t. 

The NDC revolution will overwhelm every organization on the planet, forcing massive restructuring over a staggering Kodak-Apple divide.  Fighting its war for Ukraine’s territory puts Russia on the wrong side of the divide.  It will take the country a century, if ever, to recover.

How does Dumb Don win the Nobel Prize?  By explaining this to L’il Vladdy Putin and showing him that, with money like this, he can be big. 

The problem is that Don got his Dumb Don nickname for a reason.  As Publius showed the world nearly a decade ago, Don is illiterate.  Don cannot read what Publius has written here and, as Publius learned first-hand thirteen years ago, Don could not understand a word even if it was read to him. 

Also, Dumb Don has no deal-making experience.  He understands little or nothing about business and knows nothing of management.  This is why so many of his business attempts from casinos to airlines failed and he became a serial bankrupt.

Don is dumb enough to try to force Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy to cede territory to Russia, making both sides losers.

And destroying our security in the process.
