He insists on driving us back to our 19th century energy source, coal in exchange for … zero.
He wants to restore fast-failing Russia to its pre-1905 Great Power status (see Publius on Managing Russia’s Implosion) in exchange for … zero.

He is celebrating the centenary of our entry into the First War by abandoning everything that our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and even great-great-grandparents have won over the long, hard a century since the Zimmerman Telegram in exchange for … zero.

He shredded our complex web of support among Arab nations in the Gulf in exchange for … zero.
He wants to “terminate NAFTA” in exchange for … zero.
Only a short time into his presidency, Dumb Don is the weakest president since Buchanan. Everything that he does is designed to get us zero in return.
Our Great Deal Maker has eliminated our negotiating position in every sphere that he possibly can as fast as he possibly can. If there is a deal to be made, he scuppers it quickly. Zero is his number.
When the Iranians handed him a ‘uge victory in their May 19th elections (see Publius on We Need Iran), Don promptly turned on them, showing as many nations and their leaders as he could in a single move how dumb he is. And how weak he wants us to be.
How does he expect to get the Center of Everything (China in Chinese) to fix its problem (and ours) with North Korea (See Publius on What North Korea is REALLY Worried About and Xi Blows It) when he studiously, if that word can be applied to him, surrenders US leverage everywhere he can for zero?
Ask Don what it will take to win back for America what he keeps throwing away in return for zero? As Publius has demonstrated time and again for over a year and a half, Don could not understand your question. He would hear your words, but their order and syntax would be meaningless to him.
Don is so dumb that he cannot understand a single word Publius writes. Nor, even using Publius’ Trump Management Protocol (TruMP), can his advisors explain Publius to him. So, Don can never think about any of his self-imposed setbacks, let alone understand them. We will keep getting zero in return for everything Don does.
Don's a zero. Just the way he is.

Only two days after Publius published this, Kim Jong Un launched an ICBM capable of hitting as far into the U.S. as Denver.
Kim's message to Dumb Don: You are weaker than Xi next door and in the words of your new top advisor, Anthony Scaramucci, I am going to use an unnatural sex act to "block" both of you.
But, President Zero knows that the ONLY thing that can save his presidency now is another Korean War. Dumb Don Trump is desperate for something, anything, that tells him how great he is. A total failure at home, all out war with North Korea is it. Xi Jinping seems completely unaware of this. Kim too. Which makes them both pretty stupid.
To avert this war, and the appalling outcome it will mean for the Center, Xi Jinping must take control of North Korea. But, the last time his military did anything at all was a disastrous border conflict with Vietnam in 1979, nearly forty years ago. This war lasted only 27 days yet the Center lost more soldiers than the U.S. in all twenty years of the Vietnam War. And won nothing. Ineptitude on a spectacular scale. Before that, you have to go back to the first Korean War (1950-53), before most in the People's Liberation Army were born.
No one in the People's Liberation Army has any experience whatever of combat let alone of invasion, occupation and regime transition and management.
So the panic in the PLA--an organization devoted to mainly civilian functions today--must be amazing to see.
Nonetheless, Xi moved his ill-prepared PLA forces to the border with the North in an effort to induce some restraint. Kim's response to this empty gesture was yet another, more powerful missile.
For some months now we have been only days from the Second Korean War. As Don Trump's stupefying list of failures grows here at home, he will do what everyone else before him has done, look abroad for something to polish up what he sees in the mirror.
Forget health care or tax reform. We are talking blood and a lot of it. Maybe nuclear war. Time for everyone to get serious. Especially the U.S. media which has been asleep for years.

The Dumb Dude's attempt to work out a trade deal with China ended up being as incoherent as his 12-mistake Trumplish sentence in Dumb Don. His staggering intellectual insufficiencies sabotaged his trade negotiations with China in a way that China can see see how to play Don's mental limitations to its benefit.
Critically, the members of Don's negotiating team fell out with each other publicly in China as if they were all separate parts of Don's illiterate sentence.
This is the cost of Don's Trumplish. No one on Don's team speaks Trumplish -- only Don does this -- so that everyone on his team has a different understanding of what Don says and follows it. And Don cannot tell any of them what he means, because he doesn't know what he means.
For China ("The Center of Everything "in Chinese ), this is money in the bank.
For us?
Zero.

In today's New York Times, Peter Baker showed how, a year after Publius published this, the public is getting the picture. Publius showed in Dumb Don, the man cannot read, write or count. He doesn't have the intellectual skill set to negotiate anything with anyone. He's just a zero.

Talk about President Zero. It took Dum Don's National Security Advisor John Bolton six years to catch up to Publius. On March 26, 2022, he told the The Palm Beach Post of Dumb Don's ability to negotiate peace in The Ukraine, "He's not capable of it. This would require thinking through a policy and considering the pluses and minuses, the risks and costs involved. That's just not what he does." No kidding!
